Clear Wrap Car Bra, doing the right thing>

That's correct, I have the ultimate plus. Ultimate is still great stuff though! Plus less expensive

That photo I uploaded is for Ultimate Plus film. It looks to be quite a bit cheaper in Canada.

The online cut-film kit prices published by Xpel are ridiculously high, and are published at those stratospheric prices to support their installer network.

Professional installers don't buy kits, they buy rolls of bulk film and cut it on a plotter to suit whatever vehicle they are doing. I had my car done with Xpel Ultimate film (front 24" section of hood and fenders, full front bumper, grill surrounds, headlights, mirror caps, and door pockets) for less than $600 CAD (around $620 AUD/$430 USD). As I've mentioned before, the decision to do the 24" front cover was deliberate, and not based on cost - I wanted to protect the areas most vulnerable to impacts, but did not want to cover the entire front end of my car in plastic.

It was done by a professional installer who has been doing this for years, and took the better part of a morning to do an immaculate job - and still apparently makes a good living at it, at that price. For a price comparison, the dealer wanted 1100 CAD for just the 24" hood and fenders, plus bumper.

The work is covered by a 10 year warranty, and after more than a year the 'line' on the hood is still almost impossible to see unless you are very close and at the right angle - and that's on a white car. Zero separation of the film at any point, and it's as crystal clear as the day it was put on. Couldn't be happier with the workmanship, or how the product is holding up.
