Chinese Spam???

There were about 6 users that accounted for almost a thousand messages. I blocked 6 or 7 users with the ignore button, and it all went away automagically. Unfortunately, the spam volume seems to have overrun the "new posts" queue buffer, because I've lost visibility to all of the unread posts I wanted to get back to.

Hello, my friends. Good morning from Palm Beach County, Florida. Sorry about that! This actually happens every day but I wasn't around to catch it this time. Previous days have been about drugs and pharmaceuticals, gambling, sports videos, gaming - you name it. I have various filters in place to catch stuff like this so you never see it. All I need to do is go in and delete everything. Today, however, they hit us about universities and diplomas - and I didn't have filters for that. I'll set that up now...

Sorry for the inconvenience! @ralzod, good thinking to IGNORE those spammers. If you want, you could "WATCH" important discussions and if this happens again in the future, you'll easily be able to find the discussions you're watching...

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I did check that, and it too was empty...but...I just realized I'd looked at my watched forums link, not the watched threads link. Oops!

Seems like we really need to add better security to the registration form, like a reCAPTCHA or something.

We have all kinds of good security measures in place but it's not possible to weed out 100% of the spam - especially when it's human.
