Planning on taking a look at a '23 GT Line in Ascot Green on Saturday. I've done a FaceTime tour of the car and if it looks as good in person, I'll be driving it 11 hours up the east coast to home. So excited! First order of business will be to get a ceramic coating on it. Between now and the weekend, I'm entertaining myself by reading the forum and making notes on things I want to keep an eye on.

I'm replacing a 2007 Acura TSX, 6MT with 280K miles on the original clutch. I'll miss it but the the thought of the Stinger keeps me from feeling too sad. Glad to be here!

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. You definitely came to the right place to research the Stinger. I think you're going to find the Stinger to be an excellent progression from the Acura TSX, which I've always liked...

Welcome to the hive!

Stoked to see your new Stinger! Once you get her, definitely post some pictures up!

Enjoy the excitement. I was in for a dealer oil change a couple of weeks ago and the sales guy wasn't sure they would be getting any more in.
Even though its been 2 years since I purchased mine, I still enjoy the Stinger experience.

Here in Ottawa, there are no new Stingers to be found.
One dealer has had the same new car listing for close to 3 months, but when I was still shopping, the car was not actually in stock.
It is "on the way" they said. We can put your name on it they said, with a deposit of course.
When I asked how long the wait would be, he said maybe 3 months, maybe longer. I said no. It's still not there.
That's when I went to a different dealer and ended up with the car I have now.
The car I ended up with was actually pre-ordered by another customer. When the buyer failed their credit check, they asked if I wanted it. I jumped on it right away. It still took a month to come in.
If I had not taken that car, I'd still be waiting.

Only two stingers within 100 or so miles of where I am according to the Kia inventory search and we have quite a few dealerships.

Thanks for the welcome!

So interesting re. the availability/lack thereof. I have an alert set up on CarMax. In the last 24 hours, 4 newly listed Stingers were emailed to me and by the time I clicked on the links a few hours later, every one of them was either sold, reserved or being transferred to another location.

I just did a search on Kia website near me and like you guys, closest new one is 153 miles away. That was not the case even about 3 or 4 weeks ago when I last checked.
Inventory is definitely drying up for a new one. Kinda sad.

Done! We flew down to FL on Friday night, bought the car on Saturday morning, and made the 750 mile drive back north. The first stop we made, I parked and got out, and this guy just sitting in his car looks over, says, "I really like that color." And then he pauses and says, "what IS that, anyway?" And just like that, I became an official Stinger owner:)

She is BEAUTIFUL. She may be a base model in a less popular color, but she's fun to drive and as much fun to look at. To my eye, the combination of the dark green and the beige interior feels like a throwback to classic Jaguars.
