Hey All,

Background:
Driving my car last night and took it to the car wash. About a KM driving and just getting home my dashboard lights up like a Christmas tree with "Check Blind-spot Collission Warning (BCW) system" error on the screen (abs light, traction light, exclamation mark, etc). I lose all but a little power to get into my parking spot as well as power steering. I scanned the car once I parked it and got the below codes.

Dealership:
Had it towed to the dealership today and they told me the alarms are now history (issue is gone) and that it could be due to a "system glitch" and that there is nothing they can do. Additionally they had to mention that having a dash cam could (not is) lead to a problem as well. I also mentioned that since it was after a car wash it could potentially be a short somewhere, to which they replied..."we have never seen that before" and left it at that.

Has anyone experienced any of these issues/codes and could maybe help enlighten the situation since the dealership isn't?

Codes:
PWD Control Code/4WD control - P1830
Blind Spot Detection code - C1675
Anti-Lock Brake/Electronic Stability Control code - C1210
Full Automatic Temperature controller code - B2449

Did this "car wash" have an under-body spray?

It did, which is why I think it could have been the issue, but the dealership thinks that's just a silly notion. I'll have to take it again and see, though I don't much care for intentionally trying to hurt my car.

I recall something in the OM to be careful of high pressure water on the sensors so this could have triggered your issue.

The manual specifically states in regards to cleaning underneath - "Water under high pressure and steam are particularly effective at removing accumulated mud and corrosive materials."

I had a loaded Taurus SHO that had all the bells and whistles, one them being the blind spot detector and cruise control distance thing. In rainy weather, they would both go out. And more often than not, my lane change and blind spot detector would just go off randomly. It is just a ghost in the machine, they suck. F the dealership and his dash cam causation. Go to another dealer, you will never get any help from those guys.

I had this issue minus the power steering problem and they said it was a bad wheel sensor and I haven’t seen the issue since that replacement about 5000 miles ago.
