Hi ,
I'm new to this as I just picked up my first Stinger
I have a solar panel trickle charge that i have used in past card that havnt been used for a while . Pls suggest if a solar trickle charger is till ok to use for a stinger that wont be used ..say for a few weeks
Battery is in the boot and not vented compare to normal sedans- cars

Can I have your thoughts over this please or best way to leave the battery on charge if not using the car for a while

Thanks again and love my STINGER

I would recommend getting a good proper battery charger and conditioner instead.

I use the trusty CTEK MXS 5.0 connected to the positive and ground terminals under the hood. Takes about 6.5 hours for a complete charge.

Hardwired mine by the trunk using Noco charger.

If battery is good you shouldn't have an issue leaving it for a few weeks but if you have concerns then just disconnect it.

Welcome to the hive, as said for a few weeks you will be fine, not need for a charger, or disconnect

Howdy and welcome. There are enough stories on here of the battery going flat after a few weeks, that if I were going to leave my Stinger undriven like that, I'd definitely get a trickle charger/maintainer on it. The way the battery interfaces with the car when OFF creates a constant (though very slight) demand. Of course, you can disconnect it, as suggested; that's cheaper. I have not heard of a solar powered charger, so I'm no help.

Here’s mine. It’s been hibernating for 3 months.

Don't wear your keys on you when walking through the garage. The car wakes up everytime it senses the keys nearby.
