I also just noticed this thing does not look native to Minnesota. Could this be a Korean bug??? LOL!
I don’t know boo about bugs except I don’t care for them and don’t want them stuck in my tail lights
Yes. Hoping someone else may have had to remove theirs for some reason and may have some basic tips. I’m sure it probably involves those snap in clips etc.
I should have placed this in the “slight annoyance” thread because this bug got past whatever seal is supposed to be in place. That is unless, he got inside structure of the car while it was being built in Korea a short time ago...
Again, that thing does not look to me like its a Minnesota pest. Maybe I’m wrong. We got any bug experts here? lol
I had a white moth in mine. It is probably still there but he jostles around in the fixture and isn't always visible. The dealer didn't seem to want to help with it as a warranty issue, but likely would have let me pay to remove the moth. I have no idea how it got in there and my bug also did not look native to my locality. I'm content to leave him there as I only see it rarely so I have not researched any methods to remove the light/housing.
It’s very easy to to remove. Open the trunk first. Then there is a black center trim piece U can just pull on it and it pops right out our. Or use a remover tool if u have one. I just put my finger tips behind it and pull. Then underneath there is about 4-10mm screws u just unscrew those and unplug the wire and it out. To install just go in reverse order
