Anyone have any experience with a cheap catch can with a drain? I was looking at a few on Amazon and there was one that was pretty highly rated and then I got to thinking about tapping it for a Fumoto valve. Dumb idea?

Seems kind of pointless...my add w1 catch can can be unscrewed in 15 seconds to clean out.

I'm an advocate for the Fumoto valve with the hose barb. {PROHIBITED CONTENT = LINK TO WEBSITE}

Does any one have real-world experience with the "N" or "SX" series on the 3.3L Stinger?

I don't believe a catch can is necessary.

The problem with putting a drain on a catch can is then you need to get something *under* the drain to catch the oil when you open it. And there's really not all that much room.
I only get maybe 1 tbsp of oil per 1,000 miles, and a drain would need quite a bit of oil in the cup before any really drains out.

So, yeah, it's a nice idea, but in reality works out much worse than just taking off the cup and cleaning it out every now and then.

On the other hand, my buddy's blown 4.6 spews out something like 1 cup of oil per 100 miles, so he built a very complicated automated pan drain-back system. Obviously a different situation.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
