Has anybody installed a cat-back exhaust on a 2022 3.3t that has the factory variable exhaust? Every cat-back I find only only says it fits up to a 2021 (which did not have the factory variable system).

It looks like the factory valve system is part of the actual outlet of the OEM muffler, meaning that you'd either have to cut it off and weld it into the aftermarket catback, or remove the valve system and just tie it up/let it hang there? The valve body/actuator itself is fairly large.

I don't really like the thought of either of those options.

Any information is helpful, thanks!

You might just have to give it some time for it to hit the market. There should be something by the end of the week. Patience my fellow hive member!

Curious if anyone has seen a solution yet to the 2022 exhaust? I did see on another thread where the owner went to a custom shop and used the stock system and kept the variable tip and cut out the muffler portion but that was a June time period.

I have the Jun B.L Racing cat-back on my 2022 Stinger GT2. It sounds awesome but doesn't have the variable exhaust system. Honestly, I prefer it loud and proud, while not loud as the Borla, it is very noticeably not stock sounding. Also, the Jun B.L Racing cat-back doesn't really drone, unlike the Borla without tips installed. Online videos don't do it any justice.

Nice!! Did the exhaust tips fit or did you need to bend to prevent contact. What did you do with the wiring?

I went to a local performance auto garage, so idk what they did with the wiring but they said the fitment was perfect. There's no contact with the factory exhaust tips, actually the exhaust tips are a bit larger on the 2022 models. Jun B.L exhaust systems are high quality but they're expensive. Mine was like 1800.

Curious if the Jun B.L. Is louder than the MBRP? I like that sound a lot.

They may be similar in terms of loudness but I'm not sure about the overall tone. I'll have to record a cold start and post it. I would like to hear the MBRP exhaust in person, it's hard to gauge exhaust sounds over recordings.

Looking forward to hearing that...

Here's the short video I uploaded to my channel. Excuse the lack of lighting, it's night.

That does sound very nice. Thanks for posting this. Are you getting the itch to find tips to extend the exhaust further to help reduce drone noice?

Honestly, I've been to lazy to measure the 2022 tips, they're a bit larger than the previous model years. Since getting the Catback installed, I've had people in the back seat. I'll ask them if the exhaust is too loud, but I never had anyone get annoyed in the back. I even took a 80 mile trip with my mom and girlfriend in the back and they were fine.

That’s great feedback.
