Sometimes when I change drive modes while I am using CarPlay, the system will disconnect from CarPlay and I have to unplug my phone and plug it back in to reset it. Does anyone else have this problem?

This happens to me and is a known issue (in that others have it to).

That's a new one. Complexity breeds fubar potential. I must admit that technology leaves me askance. After it's been around a good while it irons out the bugs and becomes 99.999% reliable (maybe a bit optimistic). That's when I finally accept it. The Stinger isn't innovative with any of this onboard computer tech, at least as far as I know. So the Stinger story is centered on research, development, design and testing over a period of six or seven years from conception to production/marketing. That means, to my suspicious mind, that even though the car is composed of a myriad of electronic gadgets (wizardry) I can feel confident that it is all understood and well assembled and will give a minimum of trouble. *crossing fingers* So far, so good. I have not had any of these more annoying issues crop up. The biggest wrinkle I've noticed is a tendency for my gas mileage indicators to reset themselves capriciously; and my accumulated data to say that I've been driving longer hours than are possible. A reset "fixes" that!

Mine hasn't done that, but if I plug my phone in before starting the car, it won't connect to car play until I unplug it and plug it back in.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

That doesn't seem like a fault, but instead is something about how the "recognition" of attached devices works. I see the same thing happen on my laptop. If I attach a camera card reader, for instance, then boot up, the 'puter doesn't "see" it. But if I yank out the USB and put it back in, voila!

My Sorento doesn't do that though. If plugged in before starting car it works normally.

Ah, well it could be just a quirk. Maybe my laptop is "quirky".
