Interesting article. Bit of a worry that they’re still on the fence about future models though.
Well hang onto it, if they don’t make a future/next generation model they will become collectables, more valuable if your the original 1st owner.

It’s interesting they’ve only sold 2000 in the first year. I thought with all the hype prior to release they may have sold more, but it’s certainly not a flop by any means. I’m happy driving around in something that not many people have or have seen.

Kia Australia’s initial first year sales projections were approx. 200/month so as this car has now been available for just under 12months I would say their research was pretty close.
I would expect 2nd year sales to further increase or remain steady as older falcon & commodore owners start to look for a value for money upgrade (most Euro equivalents are overhyped & overpriced in OZ IMHO) & also there are a lot of potential buyers that are waiting for the 2nd generation who are making sure the bugs are ironed out & increased popularity also gains further interest.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Sales of the GT (and esp. the top trim) have far exceeded expectations.

Problem is that sales of the 2.0T have been disappointing.

Hopefully, sales of the base engine will improve when it gets upgraded to the 2.5T.
