Has anyone else had an issue with having jb4 map 2 and adding octane booster and the vehicle starting to sputter.? I remove jb4 and disconnected everything and vehicle still sputters when accelerating past approximately 50 mph. I have not recap the spark plugs to .024.

Sounds like plugs. You aren’t running stock plugs, are you?

Yes, stock plugs. Even when jb4 is not plugged up.... it still does it, I was told from the dealership that is nothing they cannot duplicate it. The same day I took it back from the dealership after being left there for a day it happened again and they said it could possibly be a bad batch of gas?? I've never heard of a bad batch of gas before for any of my vehicles

I think the plugs are shot. How many miles with JB4 map 2 and stock plugs?

Current Odometer reading= 22300
Ran it with JB4 approx. 200 miles TOTAL.
Dealership, when I took it in said they could not duplicate the issue (they drove my vehicle for 30miles on different modes) I was explaining. I am going to take it back in tomorrow morning. We shall see what they say. To re-gap my spark plugs to .024, they want to charge me $350 just for labor....

If you are going to re gap your plugs, might as well get the Denso or HKS one. Map 2 was probably too much for stock plugs and gap.

I’m running map 1 with my stock plugs and gap. No issues so far. Waiting for the HKS plugs from K8stingerstore.

My stinger will be going to the dr on monday. Main techs rather than the weekend techs will be in to see what the issue is.
I do need a step better plugs. I can't afford then at the moment.

If it does it without JB4 sounds like a damaged plug, damaged or lose coil, or fuel injector issue. We've seen all three but usually it winds up being a damaged plug or coil not properly reinstalled.

So with upgrading the spark plugs.... Would you guys recommend getting the "ready to install(hks45.... I think are the ones) or getting factory plugs gapped to the .024?
This problem is kicking me in my arse

I suggest gaping any plug you install to 0.022. Denso, OEM, HKS, etc. We have a good gapping tool on our website.

So it's down to 0.022 now? 0.024 to 0.026 seems to be stuck in my brain...

With gapping the spark plug to a different spec. other than the OEM size. Will that cause any problems for the rods or anything in the future? I want to maintain my vehicle warranty as long as possible.

No issues at all.

Smart thing, just wait for the HKS plugs and run gap at 0.022. there is a reason...too much info to post in a reply.....as posted in a different thread, i have run into bad gas but stick with Terry's suggestion....I couldn't wait to hook up JB4 either after i got it but waited on the plugs. Amazon has them also but they go quick!!
