car slowly accelerates randomly?

good morning yall,

not sure if this is on the correct section but. I had a problem with my 2018 Kia stinger this weekend. happened only twice.

I was once on the freeway and once on the streets. I had map 2 on, floored that bitch like I was late to an appointment even though I wasn't. Then I noticed the car is slowly but like I mean pretty slowly accelerating and I wasn't sure why. I was doing 30 mph. map 2 on I want to say second or maybe third gear. floored it! rmp started to slowly go up as well as the mph. I was flooring it for a couple of seconds to then reach 50mph after maybe 10 seconds. it has only happened twice on map 2. Besides, it seems to run fine now, but I have been running map 1 instead. not sure if that's the problem but it does seem like it. also yes my grammar and punctuation are ass but I'm typing this fast af boiiii while I'm at work lol. spending company hours wisely.

Silly question but did you fill up at the correct octane for your fuel-related tune? I remember a buddy of mine had a 93-octane map on his WRX and filled up on 91 and the car randomly would not accelerate or randomly would lug-lug-lug at random speeds...

Common with 2.0 sensitivity. Take a couple of the 3.3s with full glass of water two times a day and see how you feel.

Silly question but did you fill up at the correct octane for your fuel-related tune? I remember a buddy of mine had a 93-octane map on his WRX and filled up on 91 and the car randomly would not accelerate or randomly would lug-lug-lug at random speeds...

I have 91 in my car at the moment! I want sure what it could be honest. my thoughts were my tranny is f&*%ed or map 2 f*cking my engine up somehow. I should have all the needed mods to run map 2. so I'm not sure bro! because I remember flooring it for 30 seconds and the car got to make 60 mph. took a long time for it to start picking up speed! felt like I was in a Prius or something of the sorts.

also! as soon as I turned off the car and started it back up it seemed fine for a while. seems normal now.

I looked it up and it kinda seems like it. but then again no engine lights come up at all for me and the car can keep accelerating but it goes at the pace of a grandma walking across the damn crosswalk.. plus ima get this bitch wrapped

Limp mode is when the car is is setting a cap bc something is wrong.

Your saying acceleration is off on only map 2. Only conclusion is something is wrong with the tune. Maybe a fuel cut? Over boost?, bad fuel? etc.

There's too many variants to guess. Best bet would be a data log n see all the variables.

yeah from what I read it doesn't exactly seem like it's limp mode but I ain't saying it ain't map 2 that's doing me dirty at the moment. sticking with map 1 till I know for sure I ain't killing my own car.
