Anybody on the forum had a car shipped lately? I am buying a 2019 Stinger GTS and in the process of getting quotes for open and enclosed carriers. Shipment is from Memphis TN to Augusta, GA. There are so many companies providing this service and I would appreciate any positive recommendations for quality service and customer service and on time delivery.

That's a doodle drive. Why not fetch her yourself?o_O:cool:

.. a good bit shorter than my drive home from Kia of Muncie.

Good Question. I am disabled with a rare nerve disease. I have to sit on ice packs to drive so about 2 hours is my limit and Memphis is 6 or 7 hours away from me. Chronic Pain isn't for the meek. I am only 57 years old but everyday life is now a challenge. BTW I like reading your posts.

Can't you just buy one from Augusta. I have no idea where that is sorry. Is GA Georgia.

Sorry to hear that. I have my share of issues and am 5 years younger, I can appreciate it.

It's 800km or so.

Dealers are not all the same, many are crap and play games. In the Atlanta area, every one I've had dealings with is the same, which is why I bought mine from a dealer who participates on this forum, gave me a good deal with no hassle, and I drove it ~900km home overnight.

And I thought driving about 50km was a long way to pick up my Stinger.

50km is my morning commute to work! North America is a big place ;)

Aus is arguably BIGGER, as in more wilderness (even wasteland) between populated "serviced areas".

Yea I actually live in North Augusta, South Carolina which is on the state line of Augusta, Georgia(Home of the Masters)...All of the 2019 GTS's in SC, NC, and GA have been sold. I found this one at Serra of Jackson Kia in Jackson, Tennessee. They are primarily a GM dealership so it was an easy transaction like I am used to instead of the other 90 percent of KIA dealers that add $1,500 to $3,500 in extra fees. One of my KIA dealers in Augusta adds $3,499 to every KIA they sell. That is pure nonsense and that is another reason why I wanted to buy from a non local dealer. I am a Clemson grad and the new Federation Orange was the deal for me. So I sold my 2009 Pontiac G8GT and I am extremely exited about my future Stinger ownership experience and this forum has been really helpful with knowledge acquisition of the product.

Excellent! Another Fed Orange GTS score. That explains a lot why you'd go out of state. Seriously, that is a ton of "hidden" markup. Scumbag stealers. When your Fed Orange arrives, be prepared for swirls and scratches. The thought of traipsing across over five hundred miles of interstate aboard a car carrier gives me the shivers. Getting the car on and back off again, just that! Man! Crossing fingers, that you only have light scratches and some swirls to eradicate.:)

Good luck with buying your GTS. Let us know how you go and post some pics when you get it.

Thanks for the nice comments. I think I am gonna pay the extra 200 bucks for enclosed shipping. At least that eliminates Mother Nature as a deterrent to arrival condition. Ill post pics when I get it. Probably a week out at this point.
