Hi, i turned a corner today in my 2019 RWD Stinger and excelarated vigoursly and this almighty bang and grinding noise hit, i slowly rolled to a stop and put the car in neutral and the noise stopped. Car sounds great until i put it in gear or reverse then i get this horrible metalic sound and the car will not drive. There was no liquid or metal parts on the road, quick look underneath doesnt show anything catastrophic. Its done 42k kilometers and i dont drive it hard just give it a squirt here and there. Had to get it towed home.

Any ideas?

Found a video on youtube called "kia stinger gt breaks axle again" and its the exact same sound i have.

Diff or Axle

You could try a mobile mechanic

Or book it then get it towed back to a Kia Dealer

I'll just do it myself, looks like an hour max, the tow would cost more, if that is what it is. I think finding a replacement part will be the difficult part by the looks. :)

You can google Chadstone Kia Online parts here

Use the search magnifying glass above once you entered your vehicle and search the part you want. It should come up with exploded view and prices

@Ah GetFd - Yeah thanks for the info, i had already looked at Kia online but $2k seemed a tad expensive :) can get second hand refurbisged from the USA for $700 delivered. Might try kia wreckers.
