Does anyone find it annoying that you can't change from seat 1 to seat 2 while driving? Like I was so upset about it. I drive highway most of my trip and other vehicles can move from seat 1 to seat 2 while driving. The setup I have going is seat 1 is tight on and up closer to the wheel for a more snug fit while seat 2 is for relaxing mode. I am thinking it is because the wheel moves with the seat setting which may cause an accident while driving. But none the less i would prefer it to move so I can get more comfortable without having to change every knob.

dont think any other cars offer this , safety first , set it up before you go . all my Germans were the same too ......................

I know the Fords and Chevy vehicles move. But maybe it's because they're american made. Could be because the designers and such are german? They may have brought it over. It's just when I drive on the highway (roughly 1.5 hours on the 401) I move around the seat to get me moving and be more comfortable. But I guess manual mode would have to do hehe.

I've received the verboten message too when I've clicked either seat setting in Drive (just experimenting). In Park you can access it. Isn't that good enough? The next stop light, just put it in "P" and you're done and back in "D" long before the light changes.

Most of my driving consists of highway 90 percent of it at least sadly, so unfortunately won't be able to switch it.

Lol. I thought this was actually a joke...

But in all seriousness, don’t ever move your seat while driving. That’s very unsafe and exactly why Kia has it disabled while moving... Simply adjust your seat position before you drive so you don’t have an accident.

If only there were buttons somewhere in the vehicle that allowed you to move your seat in whatever direction you want in a controlled and safe manner.

My 16 Optima SX was the same way. Could not change the seat memory settings while driving, nor any of the other settings on the dash menu. It's 100% for safety, and I'm glad they did it. We have enough to watch out for with what seems like every other person on the road has the face buried in a dam cell phone instead of driving..........

imagine if you shared your car with someone else who was a lot taller than you, you accidentally hit their seat setting while driving and suddenly you're so far back you can't reach the pedals and steering wheel....

yeah, I'm glad it's disabled while in drive lol

I think what annoys me more is not being able to save my seat position while driving. Sometimes I find that perfect position and want to save it before I forget and the car defaults back to stored settings. This may be more of an issue for me because I have two settings saved, one for when i'm driving without a kid behind me and one for when he's back there.

Audi allows you to at least save your settings while the vehicle is moving.

Lol. You say "unfortunately" like hwy driving is a bad thing. I wish 90% of my driving was on the hwy.
