Has anyone actually removed and replaced the emblem on the steering wheel? I see people overlaying the existing KIA emblem but not removing. The overlay is good but you can see that it is covering the original.

The only thing I can find is covering up the existing sticker. Pretty sure it's not going to be easy to remove since the airbag is right behind the plastic cover where the emblem is overlaid.

Vivid Visual on youtube has a video of the overlay:

A commenter on that video said they just pried there OEM emblem off though, try at your own risk.

I've pried the emblem off on a couple of Optimas by using a small screw driver. They were held onto it by a few prongs. It didn't cause any problems, other than accidentally blowing the horn.

It looks to be the same basic design on the Stinger's steering wheel but I haven't tried it.

In the above video why oh why did he have the man leaning onto him to install the emblem instead of moving into the passenger seat or doing it himself? That was really awkward.

Yeah, that was awkward. He even commented on it. Good channel though for Stinger content, check it out.

I must say I like the look of that steering wheel in the video thumbnail...

That’s a nice looking steering wheel in that video.

I tried the sticker. Drove me crazy because it doesn’t sit as flush as the factory emblem.

I swapped the entire assembly with a Korean version.

How to remove the KIA badge from the steering wheel

I went with the E airbag too and it looks amazing. I tried the E stick on but I just knew it was just a cover up.
With the E airbag, that how the designers intended it to look. It's pretty easy to replace..
