I took my Stinger to get a windshield protection film. The place I went to couldn't install it for some reason. While installing it, they damaged the rubber moulding right above the windshield at the part that separates it from the sunroof. Can that rubber moulding be replaced without taking off the windscreen?

This is the part on this Kia parts website: 86130J5000 Genuine Kia Moulding-Windshield

I'll take it to the dealer for them to check it out, but they're closed because of the weekend, so I came here to ask as I want to know. Thanks.trim.jpg

They couldn't install it but they installed it?! o_O That rubber seal is going to be under the glass, poking between the two panes. Which for you is a pain. So sorry! (I would like to be mistaken, but I don't see how you could excavate the old rubber seal with the glass in place.)

I think it might be possible but I’ll see how it goes at the dealership’s service centre. The reason I was getting a protection film for the windshield is because a rock chip caused a large crack, so I replaced the windshield under insurance.

I don’t want to take it off again. It’s also definitely a pain to deal with stuff like this. Thanks for caring.
