I installed a K&N CAI a couple thousand miles back. Just hit 50k miles and got hit with a check engine light. Ran my OBD2 reader and got P0014 for “B Camshaft Position Timing Over”

Should I change the intake back before it goes to the dealer for warranty purposes or is this problem not connected with an aftermarket intake.

I know this problem is mostly related to oil, and I do slightly need an oil change (I’m like 400 miles over my oil service recommendation) so I am hoping it’s more based on that.

Any help is much appreciated!!

CAI would not cause that error. What is your oil level? What type of oil do you use?Screenshot_20230927-181223_Chrome.webp

If your dealer is picky then change it back. Have they seen it installed when you go in for service? If they have they would have made a note of it if they are that type of dealer.
