Important info regarding your Kia
10/23/2018 3:12 PM

Hello Jason,

I am sending you a quick note in regardings to your 2018 Kia Stinger. Our system indicates you may qualify for a unique opportunity: we have a need for your car AND it's highly likely we may be able to upgrade you into a new2018 model at a similar monthly payment with $0 money down! If you're not interested in this opportunity for one reason or another I understand, just let me know and I'll make a note. If you think this is a good time to try and lower your payments, reach me at the number below or reply to this email as soon as you can and I will get the ball rolling for you right away.

Checked in with Alan at the dealership....minimal payment reduction ($30), then I'd have to choose from a black, blue or red stinger .

Is there a shortage in Ceramic Silver?

I was getting emails like this when I had my 2018 2.0 Premium lease. The emails said they could "upgrade" me to a 2018 2.0 Premium for only an extra $30 a month. Yup, Upgrade from a 2018 Premium to a 2018 Premium, and pay a bit more to boot.

This is just a form letter to generate leads. It’s standard for pretty much all dealerships.

The dealership I take my car to for servicing has a white board in the waiting room. On it they write all of the hard to come by models they're really interested in paying top dollar for.

The "rare" cars listed are: Fortes, Optimas, Sorrentos, Rios, and Souls. :cautious:

I get mail like this a few times a year from our local Kia dealer 'begging' me to bring in my Optima...

They want to do this so that they can offer me 10% below NADA lowest rating and get me into a new vehicle. :)

Like Da said, it's a 'lead generator'. If even one out of fifty people respond to it, the dealer will likely sell a few cars from it.

But yes, at least in my area, Black/Red/Blue are quite commonly available at dealers (ESPECIALLY Red), and the Ceramic Silver is much harder to find.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Get them all the time and recently got one for my Suburban. I usually throw them away, but wanted to do the math this time. This letter said they would give me $1000 additional for my trade-in and have new Suburbans marked up to $12k off. They usually go based on lowest NADA or KBB for your trade-in and their general statement about $12k off is typically for their completely loaded most expensive model or their model they sell the least of. So basically they are offering about $3-4k less than my true value right off the bat. Interest rates are slightly higher than when I bought my 2016 so I’ll be paying more monthly.

They do these rushed “get here before next week” things that sound great until you get there. Typically if they can get people there...some get suckered because they really like the new vehicle that they have you rear drive. That new car smell, new features...it’ll get you. Don’t forget about buyers remorse and don’t forget about doing the research before going in. Fine print is a killer.

It's a common tactic...just to get you in the door. If you have a service history with the dealer, you are on the email list. They also pull pay off amounts, and if you are close, or in deep s$%t you are on the list...

Just another way to waste time, I get those all the time. Also, that image you posted above it a hyperlink that is trackable. Each time somebody on here clicks it, it shows you are interested. I would remove that quickly, your click rate is higher so expect more emails.
