C6 Corvette for Stinger GT2 - Am I crazy?

I say, choose the Base GT and save yourself roughly 10,000 -11,000 bucks while still kicking the same asses. What to do with the extra cash you ask?

1000.00 exhaust
400.00 intake or Tork intake 185.00
800-900.00 Race Tune
1500.00 A thumping sound system

Remaining 7000? Take a nice road trip and spend it Drug Sex and Rock n Roll.

Initially, I thought like you. However, in Canada, there are only two models: The GT and the Limited
For an extra $4800, the Limited gives you:
Directional Adaptive headlights
Rain sensing wipers
Nappa Leather Seats
Driver's seat thigh extension
Driver's inflatable seat and side bolsters
4 way adjustable air cell lumbar support
Aluminum interior accents
Alcantara headliner
Heated and air cooled front seats vs only heated
Heated rear seats
8 inch multimedia screen with navigation vs 7 inch and no nav
Harman Kardon audio system
Wireless phone charging
Adaptive cruise control
7 inch multifunction center instrument display vs 3.5 inch
Heads-up display
Homelink system
Lane keep assist
Driver attention alert
Front collision avoidance
360 degree camera

The car also has UVO Intelligence connectivity. Basically loaded to the gunnels!

I was worried that had I got the GT off the dealer's lot, in time, I would be saying "Boy, I wish I had that.....Damn I miss having this.....Gee I wish I had that as an option!". So I waited out for a Limited model to arrive a the dealership, and boy am I EVER glad that I did. The only things that I miss are a bit more power and a bi-modal exhaust intergrated into the car, and I'm working on both of those.

I traded in my 2012 Camaro 2SS/RS for a GT2/AWD because: first baby.

I loved my Camaro to the Moon and back, but I could not square the need for a car seat and that car on the daily. The Stinger fulfills the family car need with practicality, while delivering the promise of speed and performance GT style. I do miss RWD, though. I have not been able to break the AWD tires loose (no powerslides/drifts).

My GT1 has now pushed me to the point I will likely sell my 2000 C5 FRC, however, I always hold to the hope it will be a classic at the low build number. GT1 works well as a daily driver and with kids. I just miss the 5.7L exhaust note and the 6 speed manual, sometimes, although I always think the shifter throws were too long, like a truck.

My Z06 had a bi-modal exhaust. Valves open=music!! I installed an aftermarket module so I could control the exhaust using one of the Homelink buttons. I'm hoping to get the bi-modal exhaust on the Stinger. Being able to control it using the Star button on the center console would be the icing on the cake. I also put a short throw shifter in my Vette. Made a world of difference!!

I hear the 2.0 AWD will be in Canada summer time, no word on any RWD yet for us.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Thanks - I'm glad to hear all the positive feedback!

I just bought one last night! MicroBlue Stinger GT2. (I can't post a picture yet, apparently I'm too new to the forum. :( )

Congrats! These things are amazing as a do-it-all fun daily driver, and are really a bargain for what you get. Enjoy. :)
