C&D First Drive with On Sale Date

Thanks for that. Some topical points I got out of this...
  • I get all giddy when the Stinger and Porsche Panamera are in the same breath. Think about that!
  • Aussie is a "strange market" ? ... ok, I guess we'll take it.
  • Lastly ... they look forward to driving at "at normal speeds" ... almost priceless that statement.

Are we sure that us Aussies will be getting our stingers earlier than others? I hope so but as we all know there are no guarantees.

Hey homeslice. Given that Auz are getting them from the 1st September, NZ late September and the fact that the great US of A has nothing confirmed but December rumoured, I think it's fair to say that we are sure.

Hate the fact it's coming in December! Kia just lost a crapton of customers to be honest

December is tad bit late for me unfortunately. My lease is up in August and 4 months without a car will be very, very difficult.

The all-wheel driver is a hair softer and more prone to understeer, although the torque-transfer system is biased toward rear-drive. Consider the front wheels more of an assist axle for all-weather driving, which is exactly as it should be.

The Stinger seems to be ready for world domination! I'm liking what I read as more information trickles out. The one thing that gives me pause is that mention if the awd system. I was hoping it would be a bit more capable as BMW and Audi have impressed me with theirs. Maybe under steer is just at very high speeds.

Hey lostnspace, re the 4 month without a car thing, I was faced with a similar situation on a previous car buy. I'd considered buying an old banger for a few hundred $$ and trading it in against the new car when it became available. Ended up changing my plans so didn't need to do it in the end. But it may be an option. Hell for the 4 months - but will make you appreciate the new car even more.

Honestly, I think the stinger is a great car, but I'm having the same issue. If you can get a replacement that's good, but if not the stinger is not worth four months of stress
