I’m literally at the dealership right now where I flew multiple states over, and the car has a jb4 already installed. I have no idea if it’s Bluetooth capable or not. It drives well..should I proceed? I have no idea how this thing is programmed. I need immediate guidance lol

Is it installed currently or it was installed previously?

If it drives well and all inspection was done thoroughly, should be fine.

Miles?

Previous install and is fully connected. Drove mean. I bought the app and tried connecting but it’s locked to the original buyer. I’ve emailed the support team to unlock it. I just hope it’s not on some high map that I’m not fueled for on my 10 hour drive home lol

I would disconnect the jb4 then, ask support to unlock and proceed from there

Ugh I haven’t looked at it enough to know the proper disconnect method. We are about to walk outta here with the car. I wasn’t prepared at all for this, sorry to sound spastic. Is it as simple as unplugging from the battery and it immediately drops to stock? Or does the whole thing need to come out?

The dealership who had it left on should help out. Lots of vids on YouTube as well. Take your time, no rush to leave. They decided to have it on, they should give assistance.

Yes whole unit needs to be off.

They were super unhelpful about it all at the dealership. They didn’t even want to take it off. I rolled the dice on it, and Lucas at jb4 unlocked me. I was able to connect and it was on map2. I think everything worked out. Now I’ve got to learn about all these settings..

Sadly the dealership had no knowledge that any modifications were done. I’ve never heard a stock stinger, so I don’t even know if the exhaust had been upgraded, but it does seem louder than I’d of expected.

The previous owner put in Bms intakes but I don’t see any BOV..does it come with a stock bov?

Wow dealership has no idea about the mods? how about claim a warranty and they will point out every single mods that were done to the car.

I know, it pissed me off how much they didn’t want to bother with it. Felt like a take it or leave it deal. They wouldn’t even check the spark plugs out to see if they were the right ones as suggested.

So how long are THEY going to warranty the car? Not saying it should be 2 years of something but most dealers give al at least 30 days. I would use that time to learn and look it all over. Maybe take it to a mechanic just to make sure.
Chances are everything it good and you just saved money on future mods

This is best case. The fact it also had intakes and possibly an upgraded exhaust tells me the prior owner likely knew what they were doing or paid a shop that knew what they were doing. Upgraded plugs are part of the higher mappings for the tune (I believe Map2 requires them?), so it's very very likely the plugs are correct/upgraded.

Who knows how hard the prior owner drove the car though, engine/transmission could have another 100,000 miles left on them or ... another 300. All that effort and money to mod and have no fun wouldn't make sense.

Enjoy the car while it lasts, sounds like you already signed on the dotted line.
