Prospective buyer here. Original plan was to purchase the base GT with the Drive Wise Package (although I hope it comes with the Adaptive Cruise Control, there is no mention of it anywhere on the Kia website..).

As the weeks went on, I have grown more fond of the Ceramic Silver, only offered in the GT1 and GT2. I figured I may as well splurge and get the GT2 if we can swing it.

The more I have been studying, I see Kia Canada really got the better car, essentially a GT2 with a 360 degree camera and heated rear seats AND AWD by default. I googled the numbers and 50k Canadian is 40k USD! Made me look into the logistics of buying it there and bringing it over.

Has anyone done this before? Is the warranty still valid?

Check with some of our Canadian dealerships listed here:
Dealership Communications

We've had lots of discussions but we're still waiting to see what happens after somebody actually does it! :p

I spoke with kia, warranty would not apply.

Deal breaker :/

Yeah the warranty would be cancelled. We actually had somebody buy a Stinger from us and ship it to Mexico, but they lost the warranty. I guess they had enough faith that it was worth it for them.

Kia hasn't been the best at keeping the Stinger configurator on their website accurate. I can assure you the advanced smart cruise control comes in the Drivewise package of any model Stinger.
