ThanksWelcome aboard lots of good info here in the forums
Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! You've come to the best place to research the Stinger.Doing research, coming from FBO 2012 Hyundai Sonata with Lap 3 Merh tune. Want up my game with Twin Tubo.
congrats! fyi, there is a hanger on the gas door to place the gas cap in to prevent scratches on the paint while refueling!Got one. Drove 2.5 hrs to Orlando to get it. Originally from Colorado came with BSM intake cones and billet struts. Drove a 2018 in town, wasn't sure I was making the right move. From my research the 2018 was least desirable and it proved that right. I was determined I had 2 to 2020 GT2 AWD to look at. One in my town, it got sold 2 days before. So off to Orlando.
Almost all cars have this....but people rarely use them.congrats! fyi, there is a hanger on the gas door to place the gas cap in to prevent scratches on the paint while refueling!

Waaat?Almost all cars have this....but people rarely use them.
Yep! Our Subaru and hummer don't have one but our BMWs and stingers and lots of other cars have either a cap holder or a hook for the fuel cap hanger the old BMWs had a hole for the cap stemWaaat?![]()
If the hatch doesn't open fold down the back seats and crawl back there!Every time I put gas in the stinger I worry about the gas door opening. There are numerous reports on the K5 forum about this issue. The kicker is there's no way to manually open it either. Brilliant!
Then I remember that's not a problem here. If it shouldn't open for whatever reason I just need to open the hatch and pull the manual release. Of course, if the hatch doesn't open, then I have problems. LOL.
Congrats on the new car! This will be a big jump in power and options from Sonata. Federal law in the US requires an inside trunk/hatch release. This has been the case for many years. So one must get the pass seats down from the back seat first. This should be reachable. Then attempt to climb in to reach the manual hatch release. Fun!
tl.dr Don't inadvertently get locked in the luggage compartment.
