Buyers remorse and life with your Stinger: Did you consider any other cars?

DB9 would be neat to have

This reminded me, I actually did a little research into Aston and Jag V12s when I first started my journey, but it didn't take long to realize the risk of unexpected maintenance expenses was not something I was comfortable with.

me neither. Actually, I stated incorrectly DB9. I was actually looking at used for sale ads for the Vantage, but specifically the 8 cyl model. I'd have to do a lot more research to determine whether i'd be able to do maintenance myself on a vehicle like that and whether it would even be reasonably reliable. I took a leap of faith a couple years ago and bought my wife a 3L 340hp jag F-Pace. Wish the stinger sounded as good, lol. Was worried about reliability and extreme depreciation. But it came with 5yr/60k warranty and maintenance so i took a chance. So far, 20K miles and no problems, and depreciation isn't quite as bad as I feared. That V6 (380hp version) in an F-Type would be more than enough power.

I'm lucky in that I have a Challenger Hellcat as well as a Stinger GT2 for my DD. I considered the G70, but it's too small and generic-looking compared to the Stinger, IMO.

I would give my left nut for the Hellcat. But yeah, not for a daily, it would be a weekend car. My old GT2 had absolutely zero nannies and it was a 6 speed stick. A "pure" drivers car that they call "The Widow maker." On pump it made 600 to the wheels, 800 on race gas. Just driving the car was very physical, and the clutch for that power was difficult.

Having said that I would take The Stinger as my daily, it is perfect. I will never buy German again. The maintenance is ridiculous. The Stinger may well be my number 1 most favorite car, it is that good.
