I see a lot of Stingers on Instagram now that the algorithm knows I'm a proud owner of one
. Well today I saw someone happily showing off their new GT2, so despite not knowing the gentleman I decided to congratulate him, after all he chose Micro Blue, which is by far the best color around
But something was bothering me. Was the car used? It had some aftermarket wheels and body colored mirrors. The smoked chrome on the brake duct had been replaced with standard high gloss chrome. Weird choices, but who am I to judge, I was just glad the guy was happy.
Then I thought some more, and when I got home I fired up the Kia Stinger builder on their website. A ha! Those aren't aftermarket bits, those are standard trim for a 2.0 liter model! Even the front bumper, which I hadn't noticed before, is a definite match for a 2.0L. I hope the dealership didn't pull a fast one on this guy, but I damn sure hope he isn't trying to pull a fast one on friends and internet car enthusiasts, lol
I'm attaching my proof, with names redacted to protect the innocent
Hey if you own this car and see this post, I'd love to clear this up! hahaha
