I've been following the snowshoes thread, and the Fast FC04 seems to be the consensus with differing opinions on tires.

I have the AWD, and winter driving will be primarily main roads. I honestly don't care what they look like, my goal is strictly protecting my summer wheels.

Any suggestions on cheep wheels (that will fit) and cheap rubber. Obviously the rubber needs to be reasonably safe, but with AWD and mostly open roads, I'm not super concerned about that.

What have you all been doing to get through the winters while spending the minimum and saving your 19s?

I bought a set of 18s from Tirerack for ~$1200 with Michelin xIce tires. Not bad IMO

There are 18 inch steel wheels available that fit the Brembo brakes. I suggest you search this forum for relevant posts on that, if you really want to minimize cost.

Personally, I don't think the cost saving is worth it - they are heavy, and not an attractive look.

I have Motegi MR116s, 18’ with stock sized Dunlap Winter Maxx 1s on right now and so far I’m pretty happy! Can’t wait to try them in heavy snow. Look decent too. All in was $1230ish from town fair tire.

Good deal on those wheels and tires!!

That last picture--is that your security guard watching over your car while it's parked........or is that your chauffeur waiting to drive you somewhere?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Who’s car it is depends on who you ask. Some have dash cams, others have deployable doggos.

what wheels you running?
I went with the 18X8 FOCAL F20 in black. They're not on the car yet since it's 70 degrees today, but will be soon!

Just ordered a set of Focal F20 and Dunlop Wintermax from tirerack( local Kia dealer ordered), hope to get them installed next week.

You may have seen my post on snowshoes. I got the recommended Tirerack package. Michelin Ice-X. The Wheels are SE A8-2's - $138/per. The package mounted and delivered would be about $1175 after rebate. Add $50/per for TPMS installed (the car 'learned' the new sensors after about 5 min of driving). I can let you know I they perform in about 24 hrs - supposed to get 3-5in tonight/tomorrow.
