I’ve been noticing a light rattle noise from the left driver’s side vent area when accelerating. It’s a brand new car so I have a hard time believing it’s supposed to be there. Has anyone else heard this in their car or possibly know what it is? It almost sounds like a pinwheel sort of sound

Welcome to the forum. Bummer that you are having problems, but you should pay your car in the intro forum.

When you say the driver side vent, do you mean the heater vent?

Yeah that’s where it seems to be coming from. Really just want to know if anyone else experiences this or has experienced it with their GT

I've not heard any rattles from that area... does it sound like something stuck in the blower blades? or tied to engine rpm? or steady rattle that's not tied to engine speed but only happens on accel?

It’s definitely tied to accel and gets louder as rpm increase. I don’t hear it while coasting

Maybe exhaust leak?

There's supposedly engine noise piped in, is it possibly the speaker (maybe located below that area under the dash)? Try disabling the exhaust noise in the infotainment settings.

I thought that was only when in sport mode, maybe he could try a different mode to see if it is the same.

Good thought, tried it though and it’s still there. Crackling like noise when I accelerate

What you describe is definitely abnormal, so I guess you'll have to bring it by the dealer.
