• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

hi - my Stinger is 4 days old (200kms) and I've noticed at slow speed a scraping sound both forwards and backwards from the wheels! Any ideas what's going on?

Cheers

Not sure there, but being four days old I would be straight back to the dealer for inspection/rectification without delay.

Problem solved - stone caught in disc shield. Canberra's crap road re-sealing strikes again!

Hi All Just registered as I have just purchased a Silky silver Stinger Gt. Hello to all. Im from Melbourne Australia, and so excited and cant wait to pick up my new machine hopefully in the next few weeks. Glad to hear OzStinger that your brake issue was sorted out.

Welcome! I was going to chime in that Brembo brakes are described in the manual as noisy "high performance" brakes. That scratching or "rrrrr" sounds are "normal operation". Then the stone "fell out" and all is well anyway. :P

Good news, make sure you get some SS mesh to put in the front wheel vents that will keep the stones from piling up in there as well.

Thks — Good advice Stinger GT SS - down here re-sealing involves spraying some liquid on the road, then pouring on some gravel and then let the cars do the work of bedding it in to the road surface!

Literally, making us do the dirty work for them! Hah! Our roads are often resurfaced that way too.
