Hi All,

Firstly, thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to help me here.

I have been having an issue with the brake warning light coming on, its been into a couple of garages but as of yet no diagnosis, the vac pump is making a noise but to me it sounds healthy, just cycling on and off, I have a video but the site isn't allowing a mp4 attachment, not sure how i can provide it.

So, there is no loss or change in pedal feel, I can hear the handrake coming on and off (also holding when the car is in neutral) so I am unable to say what the problem is.

Kia have said there is no code set (a pending code for the vac pump but nothing active, I changed this for a used unit but to no avail).

My local garage have load tested the vac pump, all good. Tested that its both producing the correct vacuum and holding it, again all good.

They mentioned maybe one of the sensors in the servo might be going bad and telling the pump it needs to go on when it doesn't.

Is there any further test procedure that could be ran or any thoughts on what could be causing this issue?

Thanks

Hi. That light has also been on permanently for me. The shop says they need to replace some electrical wiring. I'm still waiting for the replacement part to arrive.
Regards.

Hmm interesting, I have given up on trying to resolve it myself and have sent it to the local electrical specialist, fingers crossed they figure it out but they have a YouTube channel and it might be a video that helps some folks out if they can sort it!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
So, what is interesting is that if it is that sensor, is it leaking fluid? Or, is there damaged wires? So, no leak then

you must have an electrical problem?

Yes, the levels are correct. It's an electrical problem.
