Looking for a Borla S-type exhaust in excellent condition.
I’ve seen them on sale for a few hundred under regular price. K8stinger store and auto anythingLooking for a Borla S-type exhaust in excellent condition.
I took that screenshot on the 28th of December. I am sorry to give you bad information, it must have been a holiday sale or something.I even logged in and price still shows $1100. Maybe if I leave it in my cart for a week they will offer me a discount. Works with a lot of retail sites nowadays

So it does have a drone inside the cabin ? I'm sure I saw Borla advertised somewhere saying " no done "Yes that was a year end sale.
I purchased a bunch of parts for my car and the Borla exhaust was the first to arrive last week. I installed it and the sound is fun but I am going to try aftermarket tips to quiet the noise down in cabin. It’s a loud exhaust for sure and I live in a hilly part of the country so Minimizing drone for my own sanity is the mission. If I can’t take it - I’ll end up selling the system and finding something a little quieter.

Hey Will, did those tips carrying out the sound from underneath the car help reduce the drone? Whats your whole impression of the borla exhaust now? Curious as i'm also contemplating this route“Drone” is super subjective. it does resonate in the cabin fairly loudly under load at 1,600-2,200 but isn’t loud enough that you can’t talk over it. You just have to talk louder lol.
My previous car was a Subaru Forester which had a full 4” to 3” turbo back stainless exhaust with single high flow cat and 3” Borla hush muffler. Custom welded. Among larger turbo and other supporting mods. That setup was quieter in cabin than the stock stinger with s-type muffler. In a tunnel, the Subaru seemed louder outside the car with the windows down than the stinger does, but there’s also a difference between a Subaru low frequency rumble which Will reflect off the walls and the stinger’s higher frequency sound which will be more directional behind the car. I never checked with a dB meter.
All that being said, I’ve had the stinger/Borla combo on it for about 200 miles now and it’s raspyness is settling out as expected, and I’ve also ordered tips from China and am waiting for them to show up. I’d bet it’ll be the end of this month or so and will post an update. I’d suspect that the tips will help cut the cabin noise by half in which case it’ll be very very livable.
