I don't see any manufacturer handling structural welding issues differently. That's not something anyone would be tackling at the dealership, and they don't have an aftermarket repair mechanism in place to guarantee factory welding can be redone to factory specs ...

I saw a Supra in person and wasn't impressed. I was on the fence from photos but looked worse in real life in my opinion
