Blind Spot Monitor False Alert

Lately my blind spot monitor has been going on for a second or two when I am cruising at highway speeds and have absolutely nobody near me. No other structures are present when this happens either. Its a bit odd. Is this a known issue that can be fixed with a software update? I dont consider this to be a huge issue as the system works perfectly in traffic and the false alerts seem to only happen once per trip (that I notice).

I have also been experiencing this randomly when highway driving. It only has happened in the winter so far, so I just assumed some ice or snow was built up on the sensor.

yep, most likely there covered, had that before.

There is no ice buildup on the car just salt. I find it hard to believe that salt would affect the radar system that much.
