So looked around for a bit and couldn't find any info. Recently ran over a nail and probably coming close to needing to replace the tires anyway so basic question. What are some better than stock rear tires to throw on? Are there ones with better grip and wear or is that not possible. Lets assume price isn't too big a factor basically just looking for a slight upgrade to OEM rear tires on OEM Rims.

Hard to say. Everything depends on how you use the car, run the car, and your personal appearance preference. Let's say you love to speed, then I would most likely recommend the Michelin PS4S; there's various range for sizes and widths to choose from. The OEM rear tires vary, the wheel size and your location I would say would be the main factors. For example, my stock is 255/35ZR 19 for the rear; if I look to up-size it, I would probably go for the 265/35ZR 19 or higher, if you are driving the RWD and need more grip for the rears.

Remember, this is just my personal preference, everything varies upon the reasons I told above.

Ya forgot to mention I’m sitting on RWD ‘21 GT1 I wouldn’t mind maybe going a bit wider on the rear for off the line grip. Only thing I don’t want to happen is the my speedometer to be thrown off

I Love the PS4S, but not expecting too much in the way of additional life over the stock PS4 tires. They are a bit more grippy though, but need to be warm to work their best. My car still has plenty of power to overwhelm the tires though. If you are stock, the PS4S should help with grip.

Thanks for the input went with the ps4s do you think still having the fronts on ps4 will cause any problems? From what I’ve seen not as much since it’s rwd

No issues whatsoever. The tread pattern is pretty close to identical, and the gription is also very close to the same. I ran a second set of tires in the rear (PS4S) while wearing out my OEM PS4 in front. AWD, though, but I doubt that makes any difference.

Rim & Tire Size Calculator. Custom Offsets This is a handy tool. Note that the OEM wheels and tires show 661/663 mm of OD. When you go to a 265/35 wide tire the rear OD moves up to 668 which is barely over 1% difference, not enough to throw your speedometer off a noticeable amount. I've read on here that up to c. 2% difference in OD will mean c. 2 MPH difference in actual to gauge either way at freeway speeds.

yep, no problem. I did the same thing as my rears were toast. I even tracked the car like that and no problems whatsoever.
