Picking up my GT1 on Monday, and it's never to early to decide on a tune.
Like the title reads...what is the best tune for the 3.3 and why?
Let's get the party started!

This should be interesting.

No comparative dynos out there that I know of - yet.

Best in terms of what?

In terms of longevity, the factory tune wins.

There is no actual ecu tune available at the moment, there is however various piggyback systems such as lap3 chip, RaceChip, jb4. I have the jb4 on map1 and it works great after u gap stock plugs to .025. I cant say how much of a difference its making, but definetly noticeable. I wont speak for the other 2 systems, since I haven't used them personally. There is also a newcomer, kleendesign i believe is testing one right now. I would advise you look each system up individually for any problems, solutions, ect.
Jb4 map 1 +3 psi over stock
Map2 +4 psi over stock
Plugs must be gapped to .025 or you will have misfires eventually.

We all must choose best for ourselves, since that is who defines best.

Best may endanger your warranty, if that matters.

AND lastly, as you push this engine, you also increase the importance to use premium fuel (93 PON if available). Generally if asking for performance, good premium fuel helps.

Personally, often I have preferred ECU tunes in my past (which did possibly endanger my warranty)- but tunes will come in many forms (no ECU tunes yet for Stingers, but close).

Many are getting pretty good results with piggyback tunes (after following the prior plug advice and proper fuel).YMMV

But first, please how do you define Best? Actually it MAY be too early to know BEST.

AND, Enjoy that new car, congrats, they are a blast to drive.

What do I mean by “Best”?
We all realize there is no definitive best but asking the question that way gets a great discussion going.
Really want to know is why each owner of their tune chose it and why.
Should help us decide what’s best for each of us.

I chose mine because it was dirt cheap since it was being beta tested.

Which one, pros and cons?

Burger Motorsports JB4. I don't have any cons. My pros are available in a couple of reviews I've done further down the page.

Great review. Thanks

Wow dude...myself and others have written literally dozens of reviews for JB4, RaceChip, LAP3, and others and posted them here. You could do at least a little bit of the leg work by hitting the "back" button, clicking on them, and reading what we've already written instead of expecting us to re-write them all here for you--I think that's reasonable.

Here, I'll even help get you started by highlighting the most current reviews posted...
