I'm about to upgrade my wheels and need new tires to come with the bigger wheels but I'm not sure what tires are best for me!

I live in Dallas, Texas so it's hot majority of the time but during the spring we do get quite a bit of rain. I'm not sure what I should get and I'm not even really sure what options there are available for me.

I do know that I'm not looking for something super high end, high performance or super expensive. It's my daily driver and I do run it pretty hard sometimes but other than that I'm not doing any serious driving or racing with it.

Any and all advice would be much appreciated!

I was going to recommend Michelin PS4S, but you then said "not looking" for that price range. You do get what you pay for. A possible alternate that is a lot less per tire is Firestone Indy Firehawk 500 UHP. I hear that they are quite good enough, even comparable to the Michelin summer tire line when newish. Worn Firehawks don't get the same thumbs up. But probably, given your stated driving style and needs, they'll be good enough to the end.

Honestly, the PS4 or even the PS4S tires are just simply the best tire to get for warm weather driving. They have reasonable wear life, unbelievable warm weather traction, and they aren’t outrageously priced(~$250 on tire rack).

Just read the PS4 reviews. Thry are pretty widely known as a superior tire.

Just be thankful that we don’t have to run Run-Flat tires. Those things are all crazy expensive and terrible for performance.

“PS4/PS4S” is the correct answer to what warm weather tire should you get for the Stinger unless you are going to go super crazy and get something like the Sport Cup 2 tires, R888, or the like.

Tires are all about comprises you need a mental venn diagram of what is important to you...
Grippy tires, good traction = shorter life
Hard tires long life = poor traction
And the list goes on
As said the PS4 tires are great and not crazy expensive, so thats my #1 pick, based on personal experience the only others I would recommend are the PS3's, and the Pirelli P Zero's... but I value grip over tire life. I've run, Dunlop, Nittos, Toyos, Bridgestones, Continentals, Goodyear, and of course Pirelli and Michelins - in different cars, the Pirelli and Michelins have been the better performer so I keep coming back to them

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
The don't have them for the Stinger in the staggered setup at this point in time. I tried to get them but alas, not available. I went with the BFG Comp 2 AS Plus, really grippy and not noisy, great in the rain and comfortable. One negative, it seems to have some flat spots over night but after a couple of miles that noise goes away. It is a good choice.

Dallas sees ice/snow on at least a semi-regular basis and gets cold and wet at times. Pilot Sport All-Season 4's are deemed good enough to be OE for the C8 Corvette, a near 500hp mid-engined RWD animal. Nuff said. Sizing for them is limited atm but that's typical Michelin. Given a bit of time they'll get more sizes out there.

I've had the A/S 3+ on my GTI for about 18 months now, and can't speak highly enough about them. I was so impressed that when I got another GTI for the family last December, I immediately put a set on that as well.
