I’m planning on going fbo with jb4 and methanol and I’m already dealing with traction issues and was wondering what’s a good daily tire setup? I want to be able to drive in the rain but still have a grippy tire for when I want to do some racing. Would the bms diff brace help with wheel spin?

Diff brace will help address wheel hop, not tire spin. Tires are gonna depend on where you live. I'm in the northeast, I have a set for winter and one for summer because of our temperature swings.

As far as dealing with rain, an UHP or max summer tire is about as aggressive as you can get and still decently channel water. Unfortunately, there's no do-it-all tire, you have to sacrifice somewhere.

I live in south Florida so it’s mainly summer temps all year round so I’m really just concerned about the fact that the weather here is bipolar so I would want to retain the ability to drive home incase it starts raining. I was thinking of drag radials and putting on a less aggressive tire if that was possible.

What is wheel hop?

Look at the Michelin Pilot sport 4S

Hard to beat PS4S if you can afford them.

I've also run Indy500s, which are nearly as good on dry pavement, but they get seriously sketchy in the rain when tread is low-ish

I figured that the German guys designing the Stinger did their due diligence in picking the Michelin PS4 (the PS4S is essentially the same tire performance-wise), so I've always run them. They are very good in the rain. A member on here a few years ago hydroplaned into the retaining wall on a Cali freeway with his Michelins, but admitted that they were nearly gone, so, it was his fault.

One thing left unanswered, but I assume you are 2wd? If so, no tire is going to help you unless it's a drag radial or drag pack.

I'm in love with my Falken Azenis FK510s, they're great UHP tires that won't break the bank. The diff brace will help more so with wheel hop than wheel spin, wheel hop on any RWD car isn't a great feeling
