Best method to blackout side vents?

Of all the dark chrome on my Panthera Metal/Thunder Grey Stinger, the area that I am the least fond of is the side fender vents. I am thinking of all black. Painting and probably wrapping will require the removal of the vents, while I could probably Plasti Dip with them on the car.
From a durability standpoint, I assume paint is best, then the wrap, then Plasti Dip. I have never wrapped anything so either paint/Plasti Dip might be easier for me.

What do you people think?
For those who have done it, what did you do and how are the results?

If I were to do them myself, I assume it would be easier to wrap if they were off the car. If I had them wrapped, someone more experienced could probably do them on the car.

Apparently you just pry them off…there are videos on YouTube. There are something like six tab, and in almost every video the manage to break one or more. They say you can epoxy or JB weld the broken piece back on. Might be a summer project for me.
