3.3 GT2 with MBRP CB and Injen CAI and I just cruised into work at 60-65 mph... I parked the car after my 20+ mile work commute with a 30.9 mpg! Ever since I installed my bolt on upgrades my mpg have been way down so it's nice to see the upgrades cView attachment 45658an make for a more efficient vehicle if you lay off the gas....

I got up to 150 on my commute today...MPG was not good.

30.9mpg is impressive. I feel like 65mph is the sweet spot.

I think you’re right about 65 being the sweet spot. My mpg on the way home was under 20...lol. A friend of mine at work is a car guy too and has a JCW mini and I showed him the car now with the exhaust and CAI installed and let him drive it. Hwe liked it a lot and needless to say some speed limits may have been crossed....just a smidge

Congrats, I’ve seen that and better on the 2018 before her demise. That was from a change to a GT tire from the sticky Michelin PS4, plus it was a lot quieter with those tires as well.

this was a mix of 60 mph and 40mph, probably about 50/50 with about 3 or 4 roundabouts inbetween and a couple of traffic lights, wing mirror were folded out :-)

I had a 33.4mpg on a 50 mile trip to my parents house with my 6TT. It was about 95% highway with the cruise set at 67mph. It helped that traffic has been less so I had very few times of slowing down and getting back up to speed. This was with the comfort drive setting.

That's not the whole story. What tricks were playing to display THAT! Hah!?

(edit: oh, I forgot you're diesel; that has to be the biggest part of it)

Got assigned some shifts way out in the boonies. Mix of 75mph interstate with 60mph farm roads. Will check it against Fuelly to see how optimistic the computer is.

I've noticed fuel economy has definitely improved as the car has gotten more miles on it. Little under 7,000 miles now, and I pulled off 28 MPG cruising between 80-84 MPH coming back from flat-ass west Texas. I was struggling to get 25 MPG on that same drive when I first got the car.

The question everyone posting should answer is does the MPG calculated by the computer is close to reality when fuelling and calculating actual consumption. Putting a CAI, Exhaust, Tuning etc can change what the computer is calculating and can in fact make the calculation vs reality even more inaccurate.

In other word calculating the MPG at the pump is the only real way. MPG by the computer should be used to compare yourself from trip to trip to give high level perspective of consumption.

IMine is a GT1 awd here, with K&N Typhoon intakes, OBX racing castles mid pipe, MBRP SS cat-back, and all else stock... I get 29+ or cruising 80mph, or bust 31mpg doing 65... this is driving very hilly and mountainous highways at 5000-7000 ft elevation, not even using eco the entire time... my combined has been 25 mpg since mods, and added 3 mpg for city/and comb/and hwy
Happy with results of mods so far. But I can't wait to see how it does after adding Agency fmic, and JB4 tuner/and throttle controller... will be interesting to see what that will do

This 100%. I'm stock, and I've tracked every single fuel up I've done since I got the car 27k miles ago, and the computer is consistently wrong. Can't imagine how much more wrong it'd be with mods. My pump measured average is 27.1, but my trip computer (which has never been reset, ever) reads 28.6. My daily commute reads >30mpg on the drive info screen all the time, but I've never gotten a measured tank over 30.

I'll be taking a long flat road trip here in a few weeks though, that should be enough to nudge me into a "new record" tank of 30mpg (Except for the fact that I'll be driving empty straight roads, so my lead foot might interfere. Lol). But I can't imagine an actual measured tank in the V6 Stinger above 32, unless you employ some serious hypermiling tactics, like drafting a semi at 60 mph for 3 hours, or filling at the top of the mountain and measuring at the bottom. Lol.

Here's where I track all that stuff: Stinger V6 (90% Highway) (Kia Stinger) | Fuelly

I just set the.cruise and go. And reset the cruise after occasional dloor

Occasionally flooring it... my range on a full talk shows 410 and that's online with 25+ combined average since mods, at 21.5k total miles now

Been using Fuelly for this exact reason since be 2012. Used to freehand it back in the day but this was easier once cell phones came along. Most recent was a couple 140mi commute days and then some in town.Screenshot_20200622-135103~2.webp

I'd be happy with even that.... sports cars from the 80s did well to get in the teens. These are the happy days to me... lol
