I went to a local dealership, not the one I bought the 2022 Stinger GT1 from. It is a part of a corporation that has quite a number of different brands in it. Learned some from the service manager and bought two oil filter kits.

EVERYONE at the dealership that I had contact with was very friendly and I felt it was genuine, not put on at all.

The service manager asked if I saw the orange Stinger GT1 or 2? on the showroom floor? I said I saw it but nothing more. He said the car used to belong to one of the salesmen and was highly modified and now makes 550HP at the rear wheels!!! No suprise, it shows an "As Is" no warranty sticker on the car.

Nice place, modern, well maintained and super friendly. Don

Never understood why people do all that crap and then turn around and try sell a car. No one wants your headache, and if they want to mod, they are going to do it their way. It is always extremely unlikely a buyer wants you newish car that is modded all to hell, and if they do, you are losing money big time when you sell that quickly.

People are completely fine over commiting to things . Thats how you gets modified cars at dealer lots.

I have a pimped out stinger. Heavily modified. $100k INVESTED in engine and custom body work. Will only sell for $120k. But on the serious note. I think people dumping a lot of money into cars dont plan on selling them. But because they wasted so much, it puts them into position, where they have to sell. Had a first hand experience with this long time ago.

It makes sense that you don't plan on selling yours and you modified it how you saw fit. It would however be EXTREMELY unlikely you would find a suitor at that price. (as I am sure you are aware)

The truth is, a ton of heavily modified cars hit the market every day, and people have a hell of a time selling them and recouping their investment.

My 6mt G was completely stock except for CBE and sways. No intake/engine mods. Car was spotless inside. Someone from 3 states away came to buy it based on pics. Now it's heavily modified, suspension, intake, tune, wheels and probably other things I don't want to know about. Still miss that car. Probably should have kept it.

The whole sale took place over about 2 weeks time.. Most of that the buyer trying to convince me to sell.

It was a joke. I don't have 100k "invested". But i am modifying my car, knowing that all the shit i am throwing at it, is decreasing resale value.
