Battery Charging & ETC

Like I said, it's speculation. To me it feels weird to apply throttle to an off engine.

If it helps, when you press the throttle pedal, since the throttle body is drive by wire - the engine can start with the throttle plate exactly where it needs to be - until the engine is running - and then the throttle plate can open to match the throttle pedals demand.

The ISG system (as much as I dislike it) is reasonably well thought out.

Yes, a low battery will defeat the idle stop feature. I have dashcams but they shut off. Mechanic suspects they still draw a bit of current regardless. UVO and alarm system would also contribute to battery drain I suspect. I've had 0 issues since using a battery maintainer.

I've got a Noco genius 2 amp charger coming. A little more umph for the big stinger battery. The one amp and lower maintainers take days to replenish a low battery.
damn, you guys are smart. i didnt even know there was such a thing. i just assumed when the service dept tells me my battery is good, that its good. the noco may be beyond my capabilities, i think ill just ask the service dept to charge my battery?

Unless you are removing your battery and transporting it to your service department..... There is no point.

Your battery will recharge while you drive. They will tell you that.
