I upgraded from a Fusion sport to my stinger. Despite the (peak) HP/Torque numbers not being that much higher for the Stinger, it is definitely way faster. I think it is probably because the Stinger gets peak torque at a very low RPM. Also I think the Fusion had significant turbo lag. The Fusion is no slouch though, and a really good value. I got mine for ~$27k. It's biggest weakness IMO is its antiquated 6-speed auto which is really unsuited for sporty driving.
