I was attending my local Y about 4 to 5 days a week before Covid restrictions shut the Y down. Now they are open at what they call Phase 2 on June1, which I think follows Georgia's state guidelines. I think I am ready to start attending again. Anyone else at a crossroads on whether the timing is right to go back to the gym? I mainly walk on an indoor track and do light reps on the workout equipment.

We are allowed back in gyms on June 6th in Western Australia. I don't have much of a problem with it as we don't have the COVID19 cases like you do in the US. It would worry me a little if I was you, as you are touching a lot of gear if you are wanting to use the workout equipment. Just using a treadmill wouldn't worry me as much.

Touching things is no problem: as long as you sanitize your hands before touching your face. I guess that is the tricky bit: disciplining yourself to not do that (touch your face). But really, truly, factually, scientifically: there is NO chance of catching a virus through your skin, ever. An open sore? Yes, getting a virus directly into your bloodstream is bad. But how likely is it that blood coming OUT is going to let virus IN? Just be smart and wear gloves in that case.

"They" should never have closed down gyms in the first place. It's like telling people to stay home and die slowly. The EU has 159K Excess Deaths to explain away; that's almost one for one with Rona deaths which are 175K. How was this lockdown thing good, exactly? Oh, it slowed down the spread. I see. And killed almost as many as the virus. 99.9% of the Excess Deaths would be alive today but for the lockdown of normal life.

CDC now states that the Covid19 death rate is .26 % , lower than the Flu and we shut the world down for this , some Flu vaccines have a higher mortality rate ....................c'mon mainstream news , report some real news !!

Here in Maryland gyms aren’t allowed to open until the final phase and we’re just now going into phase 1 today. As a long time gym rat I can’t wait for them to open and I like having the excuse to drive my car everyday.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Thanks guys. I am gonna start back attending on Monday and just feel it out. Maybe just plan to do some walking at first. Yea the Covid virus has really interfered with my daily routine. I also need to drive my car more. Just turned over 1,000 miles in 4 months of ownership.

You have an extra "0" it's estimated at .26% through extrapolation, which is still way lower than predicted at the beginning of the pandemic but still a little higher than the flu.

Oopsie, forgot this rant. So, I can't edit it. I got it wrong. The 159K are inclusive in the 175K. It's just that the 159K have not been confirmed as Rona deaths, yet. Most of them probably will be. But thousands in that figure will be deaths caused by conditions from the lockdown. "Deaths of Despair" will not be an insignificant number. And the longer this continues the more there will be. (In the Bay Area, over here for instance, suicides and attempts outnumber Rona deaths; and most of them are young people.)
