So I have a little suspicion about auto hold. Sometimes I use it in traffic or through a drive through. I have noticed that when auto hold is engaged the car will creak and push forward ever so slightly (like not noticeable in distance but I can feel it lurch slightly). Any thoughts on what this could be? Is this normal? I don't remember it doing that the first couple weeks I have had the car. I remember it happening before getting my brakes turned last week so I don't think it's an issue with the brakes, but it could be. Any ideas? Thanks.

Auto Stop Start can make the car nudge against the Auto Hold when the engine automatically turns on or off.
Is this what you are feeling, the engine turning off and on?

No, I turn that off 90% of the time. I don't notice any change in the engine, it's always on. It just feels like the brakes are loosening very slightly.

As long as it always HOLDS, I wouldn't worry about it. It's a device with many parts contributing. So individual vehicles are bound to have slight differences.

I remember in the early days of the forum this being also mentioned , it could be you have your foot on the break pedal and when you press auto hold and take your foot off the pedal it takes up the slack? I can't really remember the solution maybe do a thread search to find.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I remember that discussion being about the parking brake "rock". Consensus is that all Stingers "rock" a bit when they shut down and parking brake is applied. This discussion about auto hold moving is a new one for me.

I have experienced what you describe and noticed if I push the bake a little harder when I come to the full stop it wont do it. I played with it and it seems it's when you apply just enough brake to hold the car but a change in rpm due to things like AC compressor kicking on can make it lurch. The auto hold system detects it and applies more brake to correct the situation. The car might move half an inch when this happens from my experience
