Auto folding mirrors get stuck halfway

Lately my Stinger is doing this thing where I get out of the car and lock it, either by the door handle or key fob and the drivers side mirror will fold in but only fold in halfway. If I hit the lock button again, it fully folds in. It’s an intermittent problem and the passenger side doesn’t do it. I first noticed it walking up the car from the front and could see the drivers side mirror was not as folded in and the passenger side. Any thoughts?

Back to Dealer for warranty.

If a second push of the lock button brings it all the way in, I'd just wait to see if it stops misbehaving. If not, and it gets worse, then, of course, "back to the dealer for warranty".

By chance, did you go thru a car wash where the manually forced them closed?

No, I hit the close button so no one touches them. It happens enough that the dealer should be able to replicate this issue. But it’s intermittent. Seems software related maybe.

Wouldn't software related affect both mirrors? I think that only one being balky would be mechanical.

I have the exact same problem with the driver's side. Clicking the lock and unlock button twice seems to make it move fully on the second attempt. This also happens when using the button on the door, i.e clicking it twice will make it fold all the way. I bought the car yesterday

They replaced the mirror. But it comes unpainted. Make sure they either color match it to the other mirror or they can remove the paneling on your original mirror and put it on the new one.
