• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

hi everyone I'm in Sydney and I'm in lockdown due to covid only doing 16 hours of work,i start going nuts LOL
anyway just wondering in your thoughts about this.
there's a lot of videos on youtube about the stinger.
been watching reviews and most of the reviews done here in Australia is about how fast this car goes (performance) not so much the tech it has.
I understand now why this didn't do so well here. , witch its a shame cause I as a car enthusiast would love the tech like the ones in Canada, things like being able to use uvo app ,auto garage, AWD, etc.
we didn't have much of a choice here, either 4 cylinders or v6, and wait there's more
you get 330s or GT, for the price to me is very expensive. the US GT2 or Canada ultimate is cheaper and has more tech. just wondering if anyone has talked about this

I remember having this conversation over three years ago, all in all the Canucks came out on top with the uvo app and snow storm detectors lol. But we were a close second, back then the US didn't have the camera option and a few other minor things including the Deep chroma blue option. But now they have colour options such as Ascot green and the choice of AWD or RWD which we don't.

Canada only gets AWD and 3 trim levels. The US gets 10yr warranty, Canada only gets 5yr. Canada always had UVO, US finally got it in 2022.

But the major difference is cost. Top trim MSRP is about $50K in either dollar, but USD is about 1.25-1.35CAD, so its a huge discount being a Canadian buyer.

I don't know what "auto garage" or "snow storm detectors" are. At most the dash puts a snowflake up when its <=4C/39F.

What tech is AU missing?

No UVO or AWD here in OZ.
7 years unlimited kilometre warranty only 2 trim levels in both 3.3 or 2.0 & the top trim GT here is now about AU$70K
AU$1.00 = CAD$0.93

I think you mean Homelink integration in the rear view mirror. There are actually all sorts of features that some territories get, but others don't. For example, Korean-market Stingers have had the full-fat Highway Driving Assist system (level 2 autonomous driving) since 2017, but this was only introduced elsewhere in the 2022 refresh. Likewise, European models have had Intelligent Speed Limit Assist which uses cameras to read speed signs to adjust cruise control for several years, which Aus/US/Can didn't get.

It's pretty normal practice to limit a vehicle to 80% of the platform's available features so you can slowly add them with each new model year. The selection of features chosen from that bucket varies from region to region.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

the Canada trim also comes with other features the likes of the rearview mirror can connect to your
home garage roller door to open as you arrive without pushing any buttons.
the red stinger I had ordered was going to cost me 72k AUD with extras like tinted windows, dashcam, stinger floor mats, rubber boot cargo mat, etc.
none of those features in Canada.
the dealer also stated good chance the price would go up for 2022 by 75k AUD
I believe it's a huge rip-off to Aussies here but I do like the car and I'm glad I didn't spend 72k
