2018 GT2 radio and Sirius plays ok, BUT... Bluetooth streams and iPod source does not play. This just started after years of no audio glitches. Screen shows song selections in both formats, but does not start the song (it's NOT on pause). I can choose songs from Amazon Music or toggle through my iPod menus, advance shuffle, choose from all menus, etc. - everything shows on the screen- but can't get player to play them. Tried re-starting, unplugging/plugging in USB, toggling through Mode, advancing song on slider control, pausing and starting, etc. All songs stay stuck as if on pause. I'm mystified (and worried, lol). Help?

All that troubleshooting, and you didn't say if you pushed the reset button, beside the radio button.

The on/off/volume button? Yes. And restored system to default settings in set up menu.

Not that one. The little black recessed button that you have to push with a ball point pen.

I didn't until you reminded me it was there.

Unfortunately, it had no effect. I reset it 3 times and went through the audio menus again. I get the cover art flow on screen, song selection changes, etc. But the songs never start. Just stuck at the beginning of each song.

Thanks for trying to help. I Googled the issue and get lots of videos that don't address my specific issue.

Well, crap then. I'd be taking it to the dealer and let them scan, scan, scan, then reflash, reset, relearn, maybe even do the current update. I've got nothing.

They are 80 miles away (I live in the northern CA coastal boondocks) and my one service experience with them was less than great. I have no other recourse at this point. The audio quality of Sirius is dreadful and I really rely on the thousands of lossless files in my iPod Classic.

Snicklefritz- I plugged an iPod Nano into the Aux 3.5mm and it played. Same when I used the 3.5mm out from the iPod Classic 160GB- just no on screen info with that connection.

Tried and re-tried Classic with different USB cables (and did a couple factory re-sets again). No luck. Then I unplugged iPod, started a song, and re-plugged it into USB again. Voila- it played as it should! songs and files advanced with Stinger controls, album art displayed, etc. Checked Bluetooth with phone and likewise success.

I have no idea why, but I'm soooo grateful I didn't give up and schedule a visit to the dealer! Thanks for taking an interest in my sad saga.

Yay. I just hate electronic gremlins crap. You did something that "slapped" the whole shebang awake. Most likely it was just persistence on your part. I haven't experienced anything like this with my sound system, hopefully I don't have to say "yet".

Here is an electronic episode not related to cars, but just as baffling as your story. I get T-Mobile hotspots from the county library, in lieu of paying for DSL that doesn't stay connected. The hotspot works almost flawlessly. You get on the hold list and pick up the next one, easy peasy. Except that one that I brought home would not show up in the list of WiFi sources "available" on the printer. Our neighbors' WiFi sources showed up in the printer's list, but not the library hotspot literally being held in my hand!? For two days, I periodically tried again and again to get the printer to "see" the hotspot. Then suddenly, for no reason that I could tell, there the hotspot was and I selected it and the printer paired no problem as if nothing before then had been wrong. Persevering, I had managed to slap the two devices around until they interfaced.

The one car related electronic gremlin that I have encountered - again with no rhyme or reason or doing anything to fix it - is the TPMS system, which has gone down, even for days, then "decided" to come back online on its own. When I see the TPMS screen not coming on for a while, I think that the problem has returned, but for quite a while now it has worked without any issues, sometimes it just takes noticeably longer to come up.

I had a glitch in a MY23 Stinger GT I bought new.

When it came to ticking the box for daylight saving last October, the Infotainment system shit itself. It would not fire up. I had to get into a blank screen with nothing but a Q search symbol. This allowed me into basic functions until I did a complete factory reset.

Still it took another half hour before the system totally reset and things like the Quantum Sound symbols came back.

Sometimes you just need to wait and like your System Restore, it needs time to repair everything....
