Need some advice regarding lowering springs. I just had new 20” wheels put on my car. I bought the ARK GT-F lowering springs because they seem to be what I’m looking for for how low I want to go. The question is now that I put on the new wheels and tires the gap is better than I thought. When you go to 20” wheels are the lowering springs still needed or do you negate what the springs will do? Any advice would be much appreciated.

What is the ET/back spacing on your wheels? that will decide on springs or not

where you bought the wheels should have that information or listed on your invoice too
I don’t know if this helps.

You got everything but your backspacing/ ET

If that’s without the lowering springs, looks pretty damn good to me. Those springs lower about an 1 inch and you went up 1 inch in diameter so I don’t see why you would want to lower it. Wheel gap looks great..

OP, you car does look nice. I almost think there's a bit of poke though. If your tires are already sticking out past the top of the fender you may run into problems with a drop. If the fender is still covering the top of the tire (when looking down from the top) then the drop should be fine, especially because you'll be adding a little negative camber. I would ask the seller for the offset though, then someone on this forum can confirm you'll be good.

I attached pics looking down from front and rear. Would this be an issue with a little poke to use lowering springs?

What is the offset of your wheels?

When you lower your car there is a degree of camber that is applied which basically angles the top your wheels more inward. This will minimize the poke and tuck the wheel more under the fender. BUT if the offset of your wheels is high ie. +25 etc. you will probably rub even with the natural camber applied from lowering springs. The picture I posted is a +35 offset for the front wheels and +40 for the rear.

Looks like it may cause a problem. You need to get the offset figures to be sure.

Ok here is the information from the company I bought the wheels from.

FRONT OFFSET IS ET+35
REAR OFFSET IS ET+45

Hope this helps to figure out if I could lower it. Thanks!

Also I had to do a 1/4” spacer for the front wheels.

you will be fine with that it will be a flush look
