Center of my stock Michelin 4 tires are starting to get down to the 5 or 6/32nds so need to start planning on replacements.

Was wondering what people's experience are with these because they are over $100 cheaper per tire vs 4s.

Did you read the ratings/comments on TireRack? I find them very helpful.

Do you need such a sticky tire or would a high perf all season work too? Think about your actual driving, not what you drive <5% of the time.

This is a question that definitely should be asked, however reading boosted's signature would indicate it might be closer to 6 or 70 percent of the time. :p

JB4 + BT + Fuel Wires | AEM drop-in filters | JA AirScoops | Eibach Front and Rear Sway Bar | ATQ Subframe Collars

Also look at Falken Azenis FK510, they are also a well priced performance tyre.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

That's kind of why I am asking. If the Yokohamas (or other tires) are up to the job then I can pursue that direction over getting a pricey set of M.P. 4s's. I dont track the car or push it to the limits, but I still like to have some fun in the corners when it is safe to do so.

I totally get your point on the 5%, but I still want tires up to the job for that "5%" (at least my 5%).
Kind of takes away the point of buying (and moding) a car like the Stinger GT if you are not going to enjoy that "5%".

Lol, realistically would be how I drive 5-10% of the time.

I read reviews on tire-rack and discount tire, but also want feedback/reviews from people with the same car.
Reviews about how a set of tires perform on say a 350z, or how much better a tire is vs stock on a 2.0 fusion is useful .... but is not the same platform so does not per-say equate.
User feedback from this forum is not only someone with the same platform, but they likely also used the same stock MP4 to compare to!

^^I had michelin PSS on the G. I only got to use even half of the tire's potential a few times a year when doing road trips to areas worthy of pushing the car. Otherwise in day to day use, it's all grid out here. Seemed like a waste. My 2¢.

This was the reasoning behind going with the AS4's

Re price, how much of a difference are you looking at? Would this be offset by getting them at rebate time?

PS4S tires are great, but cannot be fully appreciated on the street unless it's like 90 degrees outside. On the track you can get them fully hot. I will say I still like them, and since I drive about 3k miles per year, I'm ok spending the money on them. Also, as performance tires go, they are great with hard braking and perform better than most in the wet.
Edit: They are drivable down in the 30's too, but you just have to take it easy.
