I called Compustar to ask if they had any starters available for the Stinger and they told me that they haven't started developing the firmware for it yet. They said that, when new cars hit the market, they wait a year or two to see how the car performs to determine if it's worth developing firmware for. I was also told that the Stinger looks promising so they "may" have firmware available within the next 6-12 months.
The "old school" method of cutting and splicing is always an option, but I'm not about to let some guy hack up the wires on my GT2 just for a bit of extra convenience. I've installed starters before, so I could do it myself, but the thought of cutting through the wires when a plug and play solution may be ready soon enough just isn't worth it IMO.
Fingers crossed for something sooner than later. The 500ft range of the OEM starter won't even make it a third of the way to where my car is parked at work. :/
